Obituary of Eugene Ginsberg

Eugene Ginsberg, 93, of Dover, passed away Wednesday, December 10th, 2014 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clare's Hospital, Dover following a short illness. Eugene was born and raised in Rockaway and has lived most of his life in Dover. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was Owner/Operator of the Rockaway Sales Department Store, Rockaway. He was a long-time member of the Dover Rotary Club, he was active at the Dover Jewish Center, Scouting in Dover and the West Morris YMCA in Randolph. After retiring from Rockaway Sales in the 1970's he and his youngest son Marty reimagined the store into the Boro Plaza in which he was active until his passing. Eugene enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Survived by his three children Faith Ginsberg and her husband Robert Donnelly of Flanders, Bobby Ginsberg and his wife Melissa of Orlando, FL and Marty Ginsberg and his wife Kristine of Morris Plains, seven grandchildren Rob Donnelly, Marc, Jason, Daniel, Kevin and Brian Ginsberg and Brian Lawless, seven great-grandchildren Robbie, Sadie and Brodie Donnelly, Andrew, Brooke, Joseph and Hope Ginsberg. Also survived by his long-term companion Annie Small and his long-term devoted care giver Anna Szewczck. Predeceased by his wife Hope in 1995 and his son Gregg in 2005. Visitation today, Friday, December 12, 2014, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph. Funeral Services will follow at 12:30 PM at the funeral home (www.tuttlefh.com ). Interment Dover Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Randolph.
