Obituary of Genevieve Dolores Ort

Genevieve Dolores Ort, 81, of Mine Hill, passed away Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover following a short illness. Genevieve was born in Dover and has been a resident of Mine Hill Since 1972. She formerly resided in Mendham. She worked as a Nursing Staff Secretary at Dover General Hospital, Dover from 1973 - 1997 and at Larison's Turkey Farm from 1955 - 1973. She was a member of the Mine Hill Goodyear Seniors and AARP. Genevieve is survived by her daughter Sandra Mount and her husband Douglas of Mine Hill, three sons Thomas S. Ort and his wife Jenny of Bangor, PA, Steven Ort and his wife Wendy of Mine Hill and Stanley T. Ort and his wife Elizabeth of Denville. Also survived by her brother Gene Rounds of Budd Lake, her companion Arthur Schott of Succasunna and twelve grandchildren Michael, Stephanie, Douglas, Pamela, Katie, Jennifer, Stevie, Andy, Sarah, Graham, Grace and Kerrie and five great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her beloved sister Jeri Rossman in 2000. Visitation Thursday, June 5th, 2014, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph. Funeral Services will also be at the funeral home Friday, June 6th, 2014, 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Succasunna Methodist Cemetery, Succasunna. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Mine Hill First Aid Squad, 10 Baker Street, Mine Hill, NJ 07803.
