Obituary of Catherine Perry Lyon

Catherine Perry Lyon, 92, of Dover, passed away at home Sunday, March 30th, 2014 following a brief illness. Catherine was born in Granville County, NC, raised in Franklinton, NC and moved to NJ in 1957. She lived in the Dover area for the last 30 years. She was an active member the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Boonton. She worked as a Security Guard at Alcatel-Lucent, Whippany, and retired in 1991 after 13 years. Catherine is survived by her sister Mazie Scott of Dover; her granddaughter Monica Perry of Madison and three great-grandchildren Lindsay, Christopher and Jordan. Also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her sister Clyde Garrett and her son Bernard Perry. Visitation Friday, April 4th, 2014, 9:00 - 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 4 Church Road, Boonton, NJ 07005. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM at the church. Entombment will be at Locust Hill Mausoleum, Dover. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 4 Church Road, Boonton, NJ 07005.
