Obituary of Dorothy Powell

Dorothy M. Powell, 88, of Randolph, passed away peacefully at her home, on Sunday, August 13, 2017, after a long illness. Dorothy was born in Wilks-Barre, PA and lived most of her life there before moving to NJ. She graduated from Merry Mount High School, Wilkes-Barre, PA and Bayonne Hospital and Dispensary School of Nursing, Bayonne. As an RN, Dorothy worked at Dover General Hospital, Dover, in both the ER and Wing D Patient Care Post Surgery. She was well liked and respected as a Nurse by her colleagues and patients alike. As a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she will be sorely missed.
Mrs. Powell is survived by her son Mark Gorman and wife Aileen of Lake Hopatcong; two daughters Suzanne Gorman of North Canton, OH and Carol Crespo of Millersville, PA; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister Mary Kazin and brother George Drank.
