Raymond Lane, 66, son of Ray and Odessa Lane (predeceased) of Dover, NJ passed away after a long illness due to diabetes complications on Monday, July 10, 2017. He was born in Sanford, North Carolina and was a Morris County resident for 50 years. Raymond was a 1969 graduate of Dover High School where he excelled as a football player. He attended County College of Morris. Raymond worked in the banking industry until his retirement.

Raymond played the contra base for the New York Skyliners and was a member for over 30 years; he remained an alumni until his passing. He is predeceased by his wife, Brenda Lane; his sisters, Joyce Lane and Akamba Lane. His surviving siblings are, Henry Cameron of Charlotte, North Carolina; Joann Tyler, Marietta Lane and Annette Lane of Dover, New Jersey; Richard Lane, Roanoke, Virginia; and Rodney Lane and his wife, Dionne, of North Brunswick, New Jersey. Raymond is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, two step-sons and friends.

Visitation Sunday 7/16/2017, 6:00-7:00PM with a funeral service at 7:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Interment is private. 

in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Fresenius Kidney Care, 400 W Blackwell Street, 2nd Floor West, Dover, NJ 07801.
