Obituary of Joseph Robert Belbey

Joseph Robert (Bob) Belbey  passed away in Estero, FL on March 25, 2017 following an accident.  He was a born in Newark, NJ on February 28, 1931 and graduated from Barrenger High School in Newark in 1948.  Upon graduation he entered the Air Force and served from 1948 – 1951 where he was  awarded the National Defense Service Medal, UN Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal.   In 1988 Bob retired from Picatinny Arsonel where he worked as a heating and air conditioning specialist.  After retirement he moved to Estero, FL with his wife Lillian.  He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Lillian (Gribble),  his siblings, Eugene, John and Bernice (Lovallo), and his wife Lillian (Rozik).


He is survived by his children Cindy Romaine (Richard), Donna Caruso, Nancy Gulmy (Richard), Karen Mariani (Guy) and George (Jackie)and his stepchildren, Lillian Campbell (Joseph), Jack Rozik (Louise), his 9 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren and his sister-in-law Rita Belbey.

 

A memorial service will be held  on Sunday, August 20th at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph, NJ.  Visiting will be from 11-12 with the family and the service will start at noon. Interment will be private.
