Saturday April 11, 2009 11:00 AM Betty Jean Elam Mrs. Betty Jean Elam, 80, of Oak Ridge passed away suddenly Tuesday, April 7th, 2009 at home, Jefferson Township. Resident of Jefferson Township since 1994, moved here from Ramsey. Mrs. Elam was born in Carbondale, IL. She was a member of The Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church, Oak Ridge. She worked as a Physical Education Teacher for the Ramsey Board of Education, Ramsey, NJ. Retired in 1993 after 25 years. She was an avid bridge player and gardener. Survived by her son John and his wife Sue of Oak Ridge and her daughter Stacey Baduini of Mansfield. Also survived by five grandchildren Christopher, Janella, Jolie, Kelly & Matthew; two sister-in-laws Dimple Smick of Anaheim, CA and Velda Derrington of Evansville, IN. Predeceased by her husband Roy in 1995 and son Brad in 2008 and her son-in-law Joseph Baduini in 1989. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at The Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church (973-697-7775), Oak Ridge, Visitation Friday, April 10, 2009, 5 - 8 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph. (www.tuttlefh.com) Interment at Oak Ridge Presbyterian Cemetery, Oak Ridge. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to The Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church, PO Box 302, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438.
