My dear Aunt Ruth:
I know how very much Uncle Jim loved and cared for you. You gave him love, joy, and so many blessings throughout your life together. Thank you for your love and kindness to me as well!
Uncle Jim was always full of smiles and jokes when I was a kid. He had some crazy electronic gadgets that mesmerized and surprised me and my sisters and brother. My Dad always loved how clever his younger brother was, and I know that he relied on Jim for advice on cars, appliances and lots of other things.
Jim was a good listener too, and enjoyed traveling with you to Arizona for the summers and everywhere else. I treasured our talks about government, travel, technology, cooking, and so many topics. I loved his joy for life, and I wish I had been able to travel to see you both.
He was concerned about family, and that was always his priority. You, Sharon, and the grandkids were so very dear to him. When my brother Steve was alive, Uncle Jim wanted to know about Steve's condition, what he was doing, etc. I know Jim always wanted to be involved--to me, he was a beloved and trusted friend. I miss him.
Aunt Ruth, I am keeping you all in my heart and in my prayers. I love you all and know that if you need to talk or if there's anything I can do for you, it will be my honor and privilege to do as you ask.
I know Jim is with God now, and he is no longer suffering, but I pray God sends you all comfort and peace. I love you.
