Obituary of Patricia Ann Perna

Patricia Ann Perna of Rockaway, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday July 16th surrounded by her loving family. She was 81 years old. Pat was born on October 27th, 1940 in Hawthorne, NJ daughter of the late John Lester Fitzpatrick and Elizabeth Cecelia Rectenwald. She graduated from Hawthorne High School and later on was employed as a bookkeeper and office manager. She enjoyed volunteering for many organizations in the community. She was also an active member of the St. Clements Church for many years where she served as a greeter and eucharistic minister. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her sister Joan and cousin Julia. 

She was married to her loving husband Gerard Michael Perna for 57 years. Beloved mother of Linda (Dougherty) and husband David of Mooresville, NC; her daughter Janice (Anderson) and husband Scott of Denville, NJ; son Michael Perna and wife Melissa of Grovetown, GA. Her pride and joy was her six beautiful grandchildren; Kieran, Julia, Troy, Brianna, Olivia and Kylie. 

She was a wonderful and nurturing wife, loving mother and grandmother. Family was everything  to her, and she always put the needs of them before her own. 

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 4:00PM-7:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home 272 Highway 10, Randolph NJ (tuttlefh.com). A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 21, 2022, at St Clement Pope & Martyr Roman Catholic Church, Rockaway NJ.
