Obituary of Irma Rosa Suarez
Irma Rosa Suarez, 62, of Dover, entered peacefully into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born February 8, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois, she lived most of her life in Dover, NJ. Irma was a Banquet Captain for Hilton, Parsippany for 40 years. One of 12 children born to the late Francisco Bonilla Agront and still surviving Rosa Fernandez Rivera; both born in Rincon, Puerto Rico.
Irma was a dedicated worker who loved helping others and in her private time enjoyed playing slots at the casino, date nights with her husband and building Legos with her kids and grandchildren. But above all, she loved and adored her family the most. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 44 years, Hector Suarez. Hector was her world and Irma was his, and although their vows may have said “until death do us part”; not even death could find a way to take him from her side. That is the beauty and power of the love they had for each other.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her 4 beautiful children: Rosalyn Suarez and her fiancé Javier Gonzalez, Sharon Danzey and her husband William J. Danzey, Hector (Junny) Suarez Jr. and his wife Daisy Suarez and Karina Saxton and her husband Matthew Saxton. She was the proud grandmother of 4: Yesari Mojica, Atianna Danzey, Adriana and Aiden Suarez. She will forever be remembered by her devoted brothers: Nelson, Pascual, Pancho, Juan and Hector, and her loving sisters: Lydia, Nilda, Lucy, Virginia and Millie. She is also survived by a host of extended family members, nieces, nephews, countless friends and co-workers who were blessed to know her and be a special part of her incredible life’s journey.
She is predeceased by her father, Francisco Bonilla Agront and brother Pablo Bonilla.
Irma touched the lives of many people with her incredible smile, courage, strength, and generosity. And no matter how good or bad a situation was she maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end; as she said, “someone has to have a sense of humor”.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 3:00-7:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Parish, Dover. Interment to follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
