Obituary of Taylor Dorsey Hartshorn

Taylor Dorsey Hartshorn, 65, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022, at Morristown Memorial hospital.  He was born in Boonton, to his parents Richard Dorsey Hartshorn and Laura Bell Grier in July 1957.

He attended Boonton High School and after graduating he moved to New London, CT where he began his career as a welder with General Dynamics.  He retired after 25 years of service and returned to NJ.

Taylor had a passion for sports with his favorite teams being the New York Mets and New York Giants.  He also loved fishing, spending time with Lorena and his good childhood friends Mike and Keith.  Taylor was an avid movie watcher and always had a large collection of films.

He is survived by his sibling Catherine A. Hartshorn James and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.  Taylor is predeceased by his parents Richard Dorsey Hartshorn and Laura Bell Grier.

Visitation 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Monday, July 11, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church, 10 Martin Luther King Ave, Morristown, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM.

Interment is private.
