Phil and I worked together at Thatcher Glass in Wharton NJ and Kerr Glass headquartered in Lancaster Pa. Phil worked out of the Bowling Green plant as a field engineer. I consider Phil a close friend and we talked regularly after we both retired. I very much admire Phil as he had his priorities right and always talked about his kids and how much he looked forward to seeing them. He was a real fighter and very positive considering the medical issues he had to endure. Nothing could keep him down. I miss our regular talks over the phone but think of him often. You kids should be very proud of your father.

My name is Al Rice. I met Phil when I was Quality Assurance Manager at the Thatcher Glass plant in Wharton, N. J. Phil and I became good friends along with his brother Rich. We had many good times together and was honored to attend his wedding when he married Martine. I am so sorry to hear about his passing and I send my heartfelt condolences to the entire Barbetta family. May he rest in peace with our Lord.
