Obituary of Anthony D Monfriedo Jr

Antonio Domenick Monfriedo Jr. passed away on April 26, 2022, at the age of 81. As most knew him, Tony was a devoted husband to Caroline Ann Monfriedo who predeceased him on November 19, 2017.  He was born in Little Falls NJ and attended Wayne High School. In 1960, he joined the U.S. Navy and served as a Radio Operator on the USS Canberra during the Bay Of Pigs crisis.  After his service in the Navy, he then attended The New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he graduated with a BA in Electrical Engineering.

Tony went on to work for several companies including Nabisco, Honeywell, and Lockheed Martin.  During his career, Tony and Caroline started their family. They lived in Pinebrook NJ for several years then moved to Randolph where he last resided.

He leaves their two children, daughter, Linda C. Smith and husband, Wayne and son, Kevin A. Monfriedo. He was also blessed with five grandchildren, Anthony, Morgan, Elizabeth, Dominic and Robert. Surviving siblings are Sarah Mutke and Nancy Vitale as well as and many nieces and nephews.

Tony will be remembered as a dedicated, loving and compassionate man. His smile was infectious and could light up a room. He will be missed by all. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 4 – 8 pm at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph, (tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass is 10:30am Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Resurrection Parish, Randolph. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.  In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to The American Heart Association. Http://www.heart.org/?form=FUNSVWZCTZB
