Obituary of Margie Rivers

Marjorie “Margie” Catherine Rivers 93, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at St. Clare’s Hospital, Dover. 

She was born on March 16, 1929 in Edisto Island, S.C. to Arthur Rivers and Ethel Forbes-Robinson.

Margie was a resident of Dover, and worked at Sandoz-Pharmaceuticals in Hanover, NJ. She enjoyed bowling, Bingo, gardening, Casinos, board games and traveling. She also loved cats. Margie was a member of the Dover Senior Center and she was a Seventh Day Adventist.

She is survived by two nieces: Lisa Tillett and her husband Darnell and Letitia Brantley of Dover, her nephew William Leroy Rivers Jr. and his wife Jody of Dover, her cousins Carole Walker of Dover, Thomas Forbes of Atlanta, GA, Catherine Knight of NY, NY. Margie is also survived by her aunt Ann Forbes of Dover, her sister-in-law Lottie Rivers of Dover and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.  Margie is predeceased by her mother Ethel Forbes-Robinson and her brother William Leroy Rivers Sr.

Visitation 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 14, 2022, with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph. Entombment to follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the National Brain Turmor Society, donations@braintumor.org
