Obituary of Luz N Lorenzo

Luz “Lucy” Lorenzo Acevedo passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in Dover, NJ. Lucy was born in Aguada, Puerto Rico on September 11,1968. She lived in Dover, NJ the past 48 years.

Lucy was a loving mother of four. No matter how old they got, she always made sure they were taken care of. Lucy was a translator for early intervention programs. She loved working alongside therapists to help families. The most important thing to Lucy was her family. On her free time, you could catch her at her mother Benita’s house, laughing and eating typical Puerto Rican dishes. Lucy was the glue to her family. She was the constant life of the party.

Lucy had a tough battle with Breast Cancer.

Throughout her trials and tribulations, her faith only grew. She was the epitome of a God-fearing woman.

Lucy is survived by her four children, Christina Lorenzo, Brandon Lorenzo, Christian Acevedo, and Joaquin Prieto. She is predeceased by her Father Teofilo

Acevedo, and survived by her mother Benita Acevedo and her siblings. 

She will always be kept closely in our hearts and remembered for the amazing woman, mother, daughter, and sister she was. 

“Mother, you left us beautiful memories. Your love is still our guide, although we cannot see you, you’re always by our side.”

Funeral Mass-  Tuesday 02/22/2022 10:00am at Sacred Heart Church, Dover
