Obituary of Martin Stephen Minahan
Martin Stephen Minahan Jr, 76, of Dover, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022, at
St Clare’s Hospital, Dover. He was born in Ashland, PA.
He worked as a postal worker in Dover for many years. He was a talented artist who loved to express himself though his paintings and sculptures which had been shown in select galleries. His passion for art led him to spend many enjoyable hours in museums. He loved working with the flowers in his garden too. He was a selfless family man who sacrificed his time to take care of his wife and children in their time of need.
He is survived by his son Martin Stephen Minahan III, brother Robert and his wife Kathleen of Dover, nieces and nephews Christine Barzano (husband Ray), Colleen Hunter (husband Tom), Meghan Minahan (and Brad Haskins), William Hearn, and his dear friends John Christian and Wayne Green. He was a selfless loving husband to his predeceased wife Maryellen and a totally devoted father to his predeceased children Maryellen and Jason and he is also predeceased by his sister Alice Hearn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, 9:30-11:30am at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph. A funeral mass will follow at 12:00pm at Sacred Heart Parish, Dover. Interment at Locust Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Huntingtons Disease Society of America.
