Obituary of Joan Ann Kisatsky
Beloved wife and mother Joan Ann Kisatsky (nee Hegyes) died on January 25, 2022 at her home. She is deeply missed by Paul, her husband of 63 years, children Cheryl (John) Avanzato, Michele (George) Keith, Kris (Liz) Kisatsky and Ken (Kelley) Kisatsky, grandchildren Joseph, Michael, Benjamin (Zuilla) Stanley, Anna, Grace and William. Joan is also survived by sisters Mary Scatton and Irene (John) Oskanian, nieces, nephews and dear family and friends; parents and sisters Eleanor and Yvonne predeceased.
Born January 26, 1937 in Audenried, PA to Fred and Helen Hegyes and raised in McAdoo, PA, after high school, Joan met and married her love Paul. They moved to Randolph NJ soon thereafter to purchase the home where they raised their family, enjoyed many fine years and stayed to this day. Joan started taking classes at County College of Morris, where she worked in the library, culminating in a Bachelors degree in Business and a Masters degree in Counselling, all with honors.
An accomplished homemaker, she made beautiful Christmas ornaments with coffee klatch ladies and embroidered masterpieces, and she was a talented chef. Joan and Paul travelled together, across America and around the world. They loved every family celebration. They could always be found dancing, so fitting as they met on the dance floor. Joan was the last one to leave a gathering, she always wanted just one more hug. Joan would say so long, not goodbye. To dear Joanie, dear Mom, dear Grandma, so long.
All are welcome at visitation at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 NJ Rt 10, Randolph, from 5 to 8 pm on Friday February 4th with Funeral Mass at Resurrection Parish, 651 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph at 10 am, February 5th followed by Internment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 190 Quaker Church Road, Randolph.
