Obituary of Valerie Ann Kershaw

Valerie Ann (Lombardo) Kershaw passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at her home. She was born in The Bronx, NY and moved with her family to Hopatcong NJ before getting married to her husband of 47 years and moving to Rockaway, NJ where she raised her family and resided for the last 40+ years.

Throughout her years in Rockaway she was very involved with St. Cecilia’s School and Church. She was part of the Rockaway Township County Committee for many years. One of her greatest joys in life was her granddaughter Leila. She touched so many lives with her unconditional love, infectious personality, the ability to make everyone she was around laugh and priceless memories with family and friends.

She is predeceased by her daughter Melissa Kershaw and her parents Olga and Charles Lombardo. She is survived by her loving husband David Kershaw, her cherished daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Abdallah Abualhuda, her adoring granddaughter Leila, her brother and sister-in-law Gene and BettyAnn Lombardo and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021, 4-8PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph NJ (www.tuttlefh.com). Interment Service will be held at Gate of Heaven, East Hanover in the Mausoleum Chapel on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 10:30 AM for family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a memorial donation in Valerie’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
