Obituary of Charles George Ligenza

Charles George Ligenza, age 68 passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Morristown Memorial Hospital after a brief yet courageous battle with lung cancer. Charles was born in Hoboken to the late Charles and Lillian Ligenza and grew up in Jersey City. He lived in Milltown before moving to Byram Township 28 years ago. Charles retired from AT&T in 1998 and spent his retirement years doing what he loved, spending time with his family, umpiring Little League baseball and watching the Yankees and Giants. Predeceased by his brother Raymond, Charles is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years Joyce (nee Fabian), cherished daughter Lauren, brother William of Harrison, sister Maryanne and her partner Mary of Arizona, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Charlotte and John Chapman of Maryland and Carol and John Kelly of Texas. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, great nieces and his faithful dog Sugar. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 3-5PM and 7-8:30PM with a funeral service following at 8:30PM at Tuttle Funeral Home 272 Route 10 Randolph, (tuttlefh.com).
