Please share a memory of Shirley to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Shirley Aleane Vanderhoof, 89, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Hackettstown Hospital. Born in Scranton, PA, she had lived in Budd Lake for over 40 years. Shirley most recently worked for Marshals in Ledgewood, for 10 years, and loved every minute of it. No matter her age and ailments, Shirley loved her job, those who know her considered her "one strong woman". She met many great people there who will always be dear to her heart. She reluctantly retired in 2016. Prior to Marshals, Shirley worked at various other retail stores. She enjoyed playing bingo most Friday evenings and would do anything to get out and shop. Mrs. Vanderhoof loved her large family. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Sandy Mendel and Dawn Schepisi; her 7 sons, Roger, Bill, Donald, Russell, Tim, Ray and Eric. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great children, loving nieces and nephews, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Ace in 2002 and her son Francis Ace, Jr. 2016. Visitation Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 1:00PM – 5:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com). Funeral Service Monday, February 20, 2017, 11:00AM at the funeral home.
