Obituary of Barbara F. Ohlsen

Barbara Faduska Ohlsen, 81, of Dover, passed away on April 7, 2017 at the Merry Heart Health Care Center in Succasunna surrounded by her family. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Dover and was employed as a secretary with the Town of Dover, retiring in 2000 after 20 yrs. She had been a parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Dover for many years. She loved taking trips to Atlantic City and the Jersey shore, and also loved animals. Barbara is survived by daughter Catherine Newman and husband Michael of San Francisco, son Mark Faduska and wife Elayne of Dover, son Brian Faduska of Dover, daughter Christina Howley and husband Bart of Washington NJ and son William Ohlsen and wife Gaby of Wharton. Also grandchildren Allyson Faduska; Jessica, Nicole and Max Howley; and Hannah, Riley and Alexis Ohlsen. Her brother Herbert C. Boehm of Norwell, MA, and many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by both of her husbands, Nicholas Faduska in 1967 and Arthur J. Ohlsen, Jr. in 1994 and her beloved companion Joseph Blahovec in 2011. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Friends of Randolph Animal Pound, 502 Millbrook Ave Randolph NJ 07869. Visiting hours will be held at the Tuttle Funeral Home 272 Rt. 10 West in Randolph NJ 07869 on Tuesday April 11, from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's R.C. Church in Wharton on Wednesday April 12 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover.
