Obituary of Loretta Elizabeth Peterson

Loretta Elizabeth “Betty” Peterson, 85, of Randolph, passed away following a long illness, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, Newton.

She was born in Irvington; resided in Parsippany and Lauderdale by the Sea, FL before becoming a resident of Randolph in 2015.

Betty was a Legal Secretary for Ira Decker Attorney at Law, Lake Parsippany. She was the Director of the Bell Choir at Kitchell Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she was an active member. She loved music and playing the piano, shopping and her dogs. She was known for her contagious laughter and beautiful smile. She competed with one of her dogs through Morris Hills Dog Training Club. She loved spending her summers in Cape May. But most importantly she was known as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by three children Kathy D’Ambrosio and her husband Skip of Jefferson Township, Nancy Gabriele and her husband Phil of Lincoln, CA and David and his partner Jose Mineros, Jr. of San Francisco, CA; daughter-in-law Antoinette Peterson of Succasunna; seven grandchildren Amber Lynn, Kyle, Matthew, Tyler, Stephen, Nicole and Sarah; two great-grandchildren Colbie Rae and Connor. She is predeceased by her son Michael in 2012 and her husband Leonard in 2016.

Visitation Saturday March 10, 2018, 1:00-4:30PM with a service following at 4:30PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Karen Ann Quinlan memorial Foundation, 99 Sparta Ave, Newton, NJ 07860
