William E. Danko, 99, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018, at his home in Mine Hill.  William was born in Rockaway, moved to Dover in 1935 and then Mine Hill in 1953.  He served in the US Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre.

William worked as a Tool Maker at Picatinny Arsenal Rockaway, retiring in 1973 after 37 years. He was a parishioner at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Wharton for over 60 years. He was a member of the St. Mary’s After Hours, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and the American Legion Post #391, Mine Hill.

William is survived by his sister Bernice Palmer of Mine Hill, also his nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass Monday, January 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Wharton.

Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven, East Hanover.
