Obituary of Virginia A Washkau

Virginia A. Washkau,73 passed away on Monday, December 25,2017 at Pine Acres Healthcare Center in Madison. Virginia was born in Youngstown, Ohio and raised in Georgia and Florida. She lived in Randolph for 42 years before moving to Madison. She worked as a Commercial Underwriter for the Marsh & McLennan Agency in Morristown as well as The Home Insurance Company, CNA Insurance and Crum and Forster. She retired in 2008 after 42 years in the industry. Virginia was a pioneer in the Insurance Industry, as one of the first women to be a Commercial Underwriter.

Virginia is survived by Joseph W. Washkau, her husband of 46 years. She is also survived by her sister Arduth Palermo of Pittsburgh, PA. All funeral arrangements are private.
