Visitation Tuesday, April 14, 2009, 3 - 8 p.m. Alfred A. "Ally" Meehan Mr. Alfred A. "Ally" Meehan, 57, of Blairstown passed away suddenly Thursday, April 9th, 2009 at home. Resident of Blairstown since 1997, moved here from Randolph. Mr. Meehan was born in Jersey City. He was a Parishioner of St. Jude's R.C. Church in Blairstown. He was the Owner/Operator at Ally Meehan Excavating Inc., Blairstown, for over 30 years. Member of the "Glass is Class" Corvette Association in Lakeland. Life member of Millbrook Chemical Co. #2 of the Randolph Fire Department. He served as Chief in 1983 and 1986. He was a Randolph Town Councilman from 1987 to 1993, Deputy Mayor in 1989 and 1993 and served as the Mayor of Randolph in 1990. He was president and coach of Blairstown Girls Softball for ten years. Also, NJ District 3 Commissioner for Babe Ruth Softball. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved boating, fishing, farming, entertaining and cooking including making salsa and jellies. He was a very generous person, who was willing to help everyone, and loved by many. Survived by his wife Eileen Meehan; he was an outstanding & devouted father to his six daughters Kelly Meehan of Newton, Kristen Hill & her husband Andrew of San Diego, CA, Amanda Meehan of Hardwick, Margaret Meehan of Hardwick, Sarah Meehan of Blairstown and Allison Meehan of Blairstown. Also survived by two brothers Donald & Joseph Meehan, five sisters Dale Pych, Diane Gouger, Karen Lepre, Jane Samuelson and Nancy Shipps and many nieces and nephews. Previously married to Rhonda Caleca (mother of Kelly & Kristen). Previously married to Joanne Lonello (mother of Amanda and Margaret). Predeceased by his parents Donald and Ann Meehan. Visitation Tuesday, April 14, 2009, 3 - 8 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph.
