James L. Vanderhoof Mr. James L. Vanderhoof, 91, passed away Thursday, August 12th, 2010 at Newton Memorial Hospital. Mr. Vanderhoof was a resident of Newton since 2005 but had resided most of his life in Dover. He was a manager for 20 years at the Pep Boys Auto Parts Store in Dover until 1966. Following his retirement from Pep Boys he was employed by Howmet Corp. in Dover until 1981. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #541 of Dover for over 35 years. He served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survived by his daughters Beverly Chisholm of Essex Fells, and Sandy Gardner of Newton. His four grandchildren Alycia, Christina, Heather and Scott. He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 2000. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday August 17, 2010 at the Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Rt. 10, in Randolph Twp. Visitation will be held Monday 3 – 5 & 7 – 9 pm at the funeral home. Interment at Locust Hill Cemetery Dover. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ, 07860.
