William L. Hoffman, 80, of Saylorsburg, PA, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010 at Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home, Snydersville, PA. Resident of Saylorsburg since 1987, he moved here from Wharton, NJ. He served in the U.S. Army during Peacetime. He worked as a Powder Operator at Picatinny Arsenal, Rockaway Township, NJ., and retired in 1984 after 35 years. Member of N.A.R.F.E.. He liked to garden and was an avid Nascar fan and he enjoyed attending local high school football games. Survived by Marjorie, his wife of 58 years; son William R. of Saylorsburg, PA, three daughters Barbara Lobman and her husband Joseph of Bound Brook, NJ, Diane Tappen and her husband Russell of Parsippany, NJ, and Lisa Milburn and her husband William of Kunkeltown, PA. Also survived by nine grandchildren Nicole, April, Laura, Stephen, Melissa, Tara, Quinnton, Elizabeth and William; two great-grandchildren Haley and Joshua; two sisters Edith Eaton of Grass Valley, CA and Myrtle Shepps of Mt. Arlington, NJ. Visitation Monday, June 14th, 2010, 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will also be held at the funeral home, Tuesday, June 15th, 2010, 12 Noon. Interment will follow at the Berkshire Valley Presbyterian Cemetery, Berkshire Valley, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to or The American Cancer Society , Attn: Memorial Processing Center, 6725 Lyons Street, PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
