DR. DONALD J. MCELROY AGE: 86 DOVER Dr. Donald J. McElroy, 86, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover. Dr. McElroy was a lifelong resident of Dover, where he had his dental practice for 55 years, retiring in 2005. He was a 1950 graduate of Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of Mt. Fern United Methodist Church in Randolph. He was also a member of Dover Kiwanis Club for many years and former chairman of the Dental Department of St. Clare's Hospital in Dover. Survived by his two children, David A. of Randolph, and Melissa Leonhardt of PA. Also survived by six grandchildren, Heather, Rebecca, Rachel, Scott, Ian, and Carly, and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Bruce I. in 2008 and his wife ,Jeane in 2003 after 58 years of marriage. Visitation will be on Friday, March 26, 2010 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 9:30 AM at Mount Fern United Methodist Church, Randolph. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to United States Navy Memorial, 701 Pennsylvania Ave. NW Suite 123, Washington, DC 20004-2608
